CATIA ("Three-dimensional Interactive Aided Design Applied") is software for computer-aided design (CAD) software originally created by Dassault Aviation for its own needs as the CATI (acronym for Interactive Aided Three-dimensional). The company Dassault Systèmes was created in 1981 to ensure the development and maintenance under the name of CATIA, IBM by marketing.
