CATIA V5-6 R2012 - 103 Assembly Design

Overview:

The Assembly Design course is designed to teach you the basics of the latest CATIA V5 Assembly Design workbench. You’ll learn methods of building assemblies that anticipate and minimize revisions. You’ll also learn how to control assemblies at the component and assembly level. Upon completion of this course you’ll be ready to create and manage your own assembly designs.

 

Prerequisites:

CATIA V5 - 102: Part Design course (or equivalent experience)

CATIA V5-6 R2012 - 201 Drafting (FREE)

Overview:

The Drafting course teaches the essentials of the CATIA V5 Drafting workbench. You'll learn how to create drawings and views, and add dimensions and annotations. You'll also study geometry creation and modification, as well as dress-ups, borders, balloons, and customizations. Upon completion of this course, you'll be ready to create your own drawings using CATIA V5.

User Interface or equivalent knowledge, and 10 hours experie

CATIA is the leading modelling package in the world with huge number of tools and abilities.  Learning such a package requires plenty of time and serious effort to enable you to master its use at the required level with sufficient knowledge and understanding of the package.  It is not easy to find a comprehensive and easy way to understand the CATIA package and be competent in using it.

 

With more than 16 years of experience in the computer aided design field, FEA and CFD; CATIA-PRO team has introduced a very smart way to achieve the required level of proficiency. The team decided to follow two methods of teaching, which can be seen as two stages of learning; each method or stage is complete on its own and provides sufficient working knowledge. At the same time the two stages compliment each other to teach various aspects using different methods.  It is recommended however that both stages are followed in the sequence mentioned below to fully utilise the various techniques. But not forgetting that each stage is a full learning programme on its own.

First - Mastering CATIA by Examples (MCE):   The most necessary and common commands and operations of the essential applications of this package are presented practically in the form of fully worked out tutorials (videos + Narration).

Second- Mastering CATIA by Projects (MCP): In order to cover a wide range of aspects in CAD/CAM/PLM including FEA and CFD; vast number of fully worked out projects are presented practically, in the form of fully worked out videos. These projects are related to Catia including: mesh generation, FEA and CFD’s integrated packages.

The company Dassault Systèmes was created in 1981 to ensure the development and maintenance under the name of CATIA, IBM by marketing.
